Don’t Blame Teachers – Blame Parents

A little bit of levity from Bill Maher on this Sunday afternoon.  Bill meanders around the topic of uninvolved parents for the first half of this 4 minute video before he makes his excellent point: Study after study have shown that the most important predictor of a student’s success in school is involved parents.  As a teacher I could not agree more.  All my students whose parents have come to visit me, and who I know are checking their kids’ homework, are my students who have done well, it really is that simple.
